Ste Anne Marine National Park lies about 5 kilometers from the capital city of Seychelles, Victoria. It encompasses 6 small islands. To preserve the wildlife, Ste Anne Marine National Park was created in 1973. Fishing and Waterskiing are forbidden in the Marine Park.
Ste Anne Marine National Park has become one of the prime tourist locations in the Indian Ocean. People enjoy scuba-diving, snorkeling among the coral reef and glass-bottom boat excursions. It also has one of the largest areas of "seagrass meadows" in the Seychelles. It is very beautiful.
Islands of Ste Anne Marine National Park are very famous for the hawksbill turtles. It is world’s most important nesting sites for hawksbill turtles. Ste Anne Marine National Park is also famous for the glorious reef beneath the surface of its ocean.
The main island of Ste Anne is an 87-villa resort while Cerf Island and Round Island have Creole-style restaurants. The other three islands are Moyenne, Beacon and Long Island. |
